EK Unlocked Chapter Three: From Post-War Boom to Bust

In chapter three, Ellie explores how the story of the housing crisis has captured the attention of the nation.

It begs the question: how did we get to where we are today? What were the critical triggers that shaped the narrative?

It's a complex picture, tied up in bigger questions about what we should do with the Green Belt and how and where do people want to live.

But one thing is clear. Having a home of one's own gives more than merely shelter from the elements. It gives focus, freedom, a sense of belonging, a place to dream and aspire, a place to build a life and a legacy from.

The housing crisis is a story yet to be resolved. So this month we're reflecting on where we've come from, and talking about what needs to happen next.
