Our founding director, Euan, will be embarking on his next endurance challenge in July – walking between all ten of Greater Manchester’s local authorities.

The comprehensive redevelopment of a partially vacant and underused city centre site, bringing 383 new homes and plenty of leisure offer for new residents and the catalyst for the restoration of culturally important Black Friar public house.

Euan Kellie submitted plans for the residential redevelopment of land in Openshaw in East Manchester in April 2025 on behalf of Keepmoat Homes for 194 new homes, comprising a mix of townhouses and apartment, including those suitable for affordable housing.

Armed with our existing understanding of the site and its context, and robust pre-application consultation, we prepared a planning application that was approved unanimously at planning committee.

We advised Salboy on how to achieve a comprehensive planning permission for a city centre site, after planning permission had already been granted for half the site (Copper Works) by a previous developer.

Euan Kellie, acting on behalf of Kellen Homes and Great Places Housing Association, submitted a Full Planning Application for a 498-home development to Manchester City Council in March 2025 for a site near to the Etihad Campus.

The Euan Kellie team are proud to have advised PIC Homes and Trafford Council in successfully securing amendments to the existing planning permission at the former Sale Magistrates Court site.

We are pleased to advise that the Decision Notice for the redevelopment of the former Adelphi Lads Club has been issued today.

Full Planning Permission was secured for the creation of a new, meaningful, public park on behalf of Manchester City Council on the former Central Retail Park at MCC’s Planning and Highways Committee on 20th February 2025. 

We secured Planning Permission on behalf of Homes for Trafford at Trafford Planning Committee on 13 February 2025 for a residential scheme consisting of 147 new homes.

Associate director, James, joined the team in May 2023 after 14 years in the public sector. Following eight years at Trafford Council, James worked at Salford City Council, first as a case officer with a focus on large city centre schemes and then as a team leader.
