Looking north from the Epping Walk Bridge

Definitely a favourite, and always helped by nice weather! ☀️

This is the view looking north from the Epping Walk Bridge, over the Princess Parkway.

The top photo, as always kindly provided by Steve Welsh, was taken in 1997 and shows the Hulme Arch under construction by Henry Boot.

The Arch was designed by WilkinsonEyre and formed part of the regeneration of Hulme - reconnecting Stretford Road across Princess Road while creating a new landmark for the area. It was opened by Sir Alex Ferguson on 10 May 1997.

The bottom photo is from July 2026 and shows the incredible change that has taken place over the last three decades (and continues to take place).
