Following on from the last post this view is on the other side of what is now New Islington Marina, taken from Redhill Street next to the Rochdale Canal and looking east.
We really like this one as when you look carefully you can see the various landmarks and features matching up (for example the Vulcan Mill chimney on Pollard Street, the slight rise in the wall on the right; and, the back of the basin).
The top photo - as ever - was kindly provided by Steve Welsh and dates back to 2004 when the infrastructure work was underway.
