St Peter's Square from Mosley Street

“the Emmeline Pankhurst statue which was introduced in 2018”

For this Flashback Friday it is a slightly more recent series of changes 🏗️

The top photo is from 2010 and looks towards’s St Peter’s Square from Mosley Street. The main building in the centre of the photo is Elisabeth House which was built in 1971 (which of course included the famous Dutch Pancake House on the corner of the building 🥞)

The bottom photo shows the change over the past 10 years or so with the construction of One and Two St Peter’s Square - alongside this the Landmark building is just visible to the right, which replaced the former Odeon cinema.

In addition to the new buildings were numerous improvements and enhancements to the Square itself, including the Emmeline Pankhurst statue which was introduced in 2018.
