Application submitted for 109 affordable homes in Newton Heath
Euan Kellie have submitted a full planning application to Manchester City Council for a 109-unit residential development on land off Oldham Road in Newton Heath, Manchester, on behalf of One Manchester Limited.
All of the housing proposed would be affordable accommodation, comprising a mixture of social rented and affordable rented units. 28 houses and 81 apartments would be delivered, together with associated green spaces and landscaping.
This scheme would complement One Manchester’s Phase 1 proposals, which are currently under construction on adjoining land (which Euan Kellie also advised on) and would be a positive addition to the district centre in Newton Heath. It would also make an important contribution towards the supply of new affordable housing in East Manchester.
Euan Kellie’s role to date has included leading the pre-application discussions with the Local Planning Authority and coordinating the preparation and submission of the planning application. Euan Kellie is continuing to advise One Manchester during the determination stage.
