Consent granted for 110 unit scheme on Commercial Road, Liverpool

Liverpool City Council approved Trophy Homes’ proposals for the redevelopment of land off Commercial Road in Kirkdale for up to 110 residential units.

The vacant site – 0.35 hectares in size – is located adjacent to the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and is to the south of the Tobacco Wharf residential development.

Outline planning permission has been granted for access, scale and layout – appearance and landscaping will be approved at a later date.

The proposals, designed by Snow Architects, comprises two buildings – the tallest of which will be six storeys in height. The scheme will be accessed off of Commercial Road and also comprises public open space and on-site car parking.

Euan Kellie Property Solutions were the town planning consultants on the project. Director, Kelly Paddick said:

“This scheme will make a positive contribution to Liverpool’s housing land supply and bring activity to this important site.”
