Euan Kellie have submitted plans for 40 new affordable homes

Euan Kellie have submitted plans to Salford City Council on behalf of Lancet Homes, the residential arm of Brookhouse Group.

The proposals are to transform a derelict site in Winton that formerly housed St Matthews Roman Catholic Church and associated Presbytery into 40 new affordable homes.  The proposed development will be across two four-storey buildings, will comprise of one- and two-bed properties and will be 100 per cent affordable housing which will be managed by ForHousing.

The site, situated on Worsley Road (B5211) was brownfield and has been vacant since the church ceased operations in November 2018 and later cleared in 2024.

The proposed development will be situated in a highly sustainable area, close to bus routes and will have a strong focus on quality design and most importantly will feed Salford's undersupply of affordable housing, a top priority for city mayor, Paul Dennett.

Euan Kellie managed the preparation and coordination of the Planning Application on behalf of Lancet Homes and led on pre-application discussions with Salford City Council.  The scheme was designed by MPSL Planning and Design Limited.
