Planning Permission secured for 208 new homes in Bolton town centre

EKPS is delighted to have secured consent on behalf of FSG Moor Lane Bolton Developments to redevelop the former Moor Lane bus station in Bolton.

The proposals, designed by AEW Architects, will provide 208 residential units - a combination of 44 no. dwellings and four blocks with 164 apartments. 82 of the dwellings will be affordable and will be managed by Bolton at Home. The scheme also includes 835 sqm of commercial floorspace, public realm with hard and soft landscaping, parking, and proposed highway works.

The site is located within Bolton town centre and is also partially within the Town Hall Conservation Area.

EKPS coordinated and submitted the planning application documentation and led on discussions with planning officers throughout both the pre-application and determination process. The application was approved at Bolton Council Planning Committee on 11 November 2021.
