EKPS appointed to help deliver residential development at The Printing Press in Manchester

EKPS has been appointed by Naples Street Properties to discharge the pre-commencement conditions which will enable them to deliver the 66 unit residential scheme located on New Mount Street in Manchester.

The Grade II listed Co-operative Printing Society buildings on the site date back to the 1870s, and were previously used for 50,000 sq ft of serviced offices, although tenants have since moved out of the building.

The proposals feature 66 homes and will include many of the building’s original features such as exposed brick and ironwork, high ceilings and large windows.

The main building will feature the bulk of the apartments, primarily two-beds, while a rooftop extension to a section built in the 1920s will feature a number of duplex units.
