EKPS Secure Reserved Matters Consent for The Hut Group Warehouse Extension at Omega South

EKPS have secured  a Reserved Matters consent on behalf of The Hut Group for the extension of their existing Warehouse development within Omega South in Warrington.

THG is a global, consumer brand and proprietary technology group pre-eminent in Beauty and Wellness. Founded in 2004, THG now operates nearly 200 localised websites, retailing goods in 169 countries. In the year to 31 December 2019, the Group grew sales by 24% to £1.14bn, with 66% of sales generated internationally.  Headquartered in Manchester, the Group employs over 7,000 people globally and is on course to expand its global footprint significantly and with further investment in its international infrastructure.

The extension, designed by Chetwoods, will deliver a further 16,600 sq.m of Logistics Space for the company taking the development to a total of approximately 80,200 sq.m.

EKPS were responsible for providing planning strategy advice, the coordination and submission of the planning application and leading on discussions with planning officers throughout the application  process. The application was approved under delegated powers on 9 October 2020.
