Euan Kellie Property Solutions has submitted a planning application on behalf of Watson Group for a new affordable housing scheme on St Mary’s Road in Eccles.
The proposals would deliver 34 one- and two-bedroom apartments for social rent within a six-storey residential building, bringing a vacant site back into use and helping to address the need for affordable housing in Salford.
Designed by JM Architects, the scheme includes landscaped areas, secure cycle parking and a stepped brick façade, with the building designed to complement its surroundings and overlook St Mary’s Gardens. The development would provide 100% affordable housing, with ForHousing set to own and manage the apartments upon completion.
Located within Eccles Town Centre, the site benefits from convenient access to local amenities and public transport links. The proposals represent a positive contribution to the ongoing regeneration of Eccles, delivering much-needed affordable homes in a sustainable town centre location.
