Plans submitted for 498 East Manchester Homes

Euan Kellie, acting on behalf of Kellen Homes and Great Places Housing Association, submitted a Full Planning Application for a 498-home development to Manchester City Council in March 2025 for a site near to the Etihad Campus.

Currently home to Riverpark Trading Estate, the 18.3-acre scheme, nestled between Briscoe Lane and Philips Park, will provide a thriving new community in North East Manchester, helping to drive positive change in this part of the City and Affordable homes will account for 47 per cent of proposed properties – more than double the local authority’s requirement.

The AEW Architect designed-scheme will include 279 apartments in five buildings across four-to-six storeys, 221 two-, three- and four-bedroom homes, 300 parking spaces and hard & soft landscaping, including a children’s play area, and upgrade works to Riverpark Road.
