Application submitted for redevelopment of former Rossendale United FC stadium
On Wednesday 16 November 2016, EKPS submitted an outline planning application on behalf of Culzean Developments, seeking approval for the redevelopment of land partly occupied by the derelict stadium previously used by Rossendale United Football Club.
The proposals seek approval from Rossendale Borough Council for up to 100 residential dwellings with access off Dark Lane.
As part of the proposed development a financial contribution will be made by the applicant which will contribute to the provision of a replacement playing pitch at Marl Pits in Rossendale.
The indicative site layout has been prepared by Halliday Meecham Architects.
