EKPS secure planning permission for Salboy’s new Northern Quarter office scheme

EKPS is very pleased to have secured planning permission for Salboy’s latest proposals on the site at Back Turner Street in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

The scheme, designed by Jon Matthews Architects, is comprising three unique interlinking buildings of ground plus 5 and 17 storeys including the conversion and extension of the existing warehouse building at 1&3 Back Turner Street to deliver 45,000 sq ft of new office floorspace targeted at smaller creative, digital and tech businesses. The scheme also proposes commercial uses at ground level and significant public realm improvements around the  site. EKPS advised on planning strategy throughout and were responsible for the coordination of the application submission.

The application was approved at Manchester City Council’s Chief Executive Planning Meeting on 25 June 2020.
