Planning Application submitted for new residential scheme at 402/4 Wilmslow Road, Withington

In April 2020 EKPS submitted an application for the residential redevelopment of the site on Wilmslow Road, on the edge of Withington District Centre.

The proposed scheme comprises the demolition of the existing building on the site and development of a high-quality apartment scheme of 27 new one and two bedroom dwellings in a building of ground floor plus four storeys. The scheme is designed by 5plus Architects.

The high quality residential units will exceed the standards as set out within the Manchester Residential Quality Guidance, will provide good levels of storage and will be as sustainable as possible, responding positively to  the objectives of the Residential Growth Strategy, the Strategic Plan for Manchester City.

Centre and will also make a positive contribution to the objectives of the South Manchester SRF. The Proposals will lead to economic growth through the contribution to the regeneration of Withington through the provision of new homes.

EKPS were responsible for co-ordinating the application submission and for providing planning advice throughout the project.
