Euan Kellie Property Solutions has submitted a planning application to Salford City Council for a significant new riverside neighbourhood in a prominent location in Salford.

The proposals, designed by DLA Architecture on behalf of Crescent Investments LLC Limited, in partnership with Forshaw Group, centre on a residential-led development comprising three towers delivering 814 new homes. The scheme also includes a two-storey community pavilion designed to accommodate a mix of commercial, retail, hospitality, and community uses.

A key component of the proposals is the creation of 6,000sqm of high-quality public realm, including enhanced connections to the Irwell Riverside Path, strengthening links between Salford Quays and Manchester city centre. The design prioritises accessibility, with improved pedestrian and cycle routes, alongside a landscaped ramp and stepped seating connecting directly to the waterfront.

The site is currently occupied by commercial uses, including McDonald's and Grosvenor Casino, which received consent for demolition in 2023 to enable redevelopment.

Subject to planning approval, the development will contribute towards Salford’s wider target of delivering 9,000 new homes across Ordsall, Salford Quays, Pendleton, and Charlestown by 2042.
