Plans submitted for Action Sports Academy

It will be open to ‘pay and play’ users for day camps during school holidays, schools in term time, universities and company away days. The facility will also be a training academy for athletes from the GB Olympic Park and Pipe Ski and Snowboard team.

“We are very excited to submit the planning application as the facility will be the first and only progression-based action sports facility of its kind in the UK,” said Graystone Action Sports Academy director Ben Livingstone.

“It will enable action sports athletes from beginner to pro to achieve their freestyle dreams in a range of sports by combining world-class facilities and the latest training techniques within a reduced-risk environment.”

Euan Kellie Property Solutions is the planning consultant. Director Euan Kellie added: “The proposals are very exciting and will make a fantastic contribution to the sport and leisure sector in the North West.”
