Salboy’s first phase plans for former Castle Irwell Student Village given the go-ahead

Salford City Council has approved Salboy’s proposals for 157 new homes across four plots in the first phase of its Castle Irwell residential scheme in Salford.

The proposals, designed by architects Calderpeel, include a mixture of two, three and four bed properties, and will lead to the redevelopment of the former Student Village off Cromwell Road and Littleton Road which Salboy acquired from the University of Salford in 2019.

This Reserved Matters approval follows on from the outline planning permission which EKPS secured on behalf of University of Salford in June 2020.
