After discovering the world of planning while working a summer job nearly 20 years ago, she fell for it hook, line and sinker. She recalibrated her career path, signed up to a master’s course in town planning and has been doing it ever since.
Gillian loves meeting people and is a self-confessed problem solver. Her love of planning stems from how she gets to hear a client’s story, help them unpick a problem and use the planning system achieve a better solution.
A chartered town planner with 18 years’ experience under her belt, Gillian’s career has taken her client-side, as well as working for a contractor and in the private sector. This breadth of experience has taught her to be a jack of all trades as well as impressing upon her the importance of being commercially minded.
She’s proactive, organised (loves a list) and harbours a passion for drilling into housing land supply. That’s because it’s the sort of data that can completely upend a planning strategy.
She brings a fresh perspective to the Euan Kellie team. Plus, she’s fast becoming the strongest contender to replace Euan as ‘most avid coffee drinker’ in the team.
