On 31 March 2017 Bellward Properties secured planning permission from Salford City Council for the conversion of 230 Chapel Street to residential use.

On Tuesday 28 March 2017, Liverpool City Council Planning Committee were ‘minded to approve’ Keepmoat Homes’ planning application for the redevelopment of land previously occupied by the Speke Comprehensive School.
